What is this

The cadastre map shows land parcel boundaries and building outlines for all of Latvia. On our map you can view them both on the regular map and on aerial imagery — so you immediately see how the legal boundary looks on the ground: where it runs relative to a fence, a road or a building.

The official land boundary plan is a document prepared by a surveyor and kept at the State Land Service. The cadastre map does not replace it — it is an overview map that shows the boundary configuration; in a boundary dispute, the on-site survey is what counts.

In practice the map is enough for most needs: understanding what belongs to a property, how big the plot is, whether the access road runs over your own land, and who your neighbours are.

Frequently Asked Questions / FAQ

How can I view land boundaries by cadastre number?
Enter the cadastre number in the search box — the map will open exactly that land parcel with its boundaries highlighted. The same works with an address.
Does this map replace the official boundary plan?
No. The official land boundary plan is prepared by a surveyor and kept at the State Land Service. The cadastre map is an overview map — it shows the boundary configuration and covers everyday needs, but in a boundary dispute the on-site survey is decisive.
How accurate are the boundaries on the map?
The boundaries come from the State Land Service cadastre spatial data. Accuracy depends on how the plot was once surveyed: high for instrumentally surveyed plots, lower for allocated (unsurveyed) boundaries.
Can I see my neighbours' land boundaries?
Yes — the map shows all land parcels across Latvia, including neighbouring plots and their cadastre designations.
How do I tell whether the fence stands on the boundary?
Turn on aerial imagery and zoom in: if the fence differs substantially from the cadastre boundary, you will see it at once. The final answer in a dispute, however, comes only from a surveyor's on-site measurement.
